Want to make sure you have a happy wedding day?

Worried about all the things out of your control that might ruin your day?

Did you know that the level of your happiness on your wedding day is mostly up to your ATTITUDE?

Earlier today we had the pleasure of marrying Samantha and William in an elopement ceremony attended by the bride, groom and the groom’s mother.   Bride Samantha had been researching her wedding for years.   And, she was very much looking forward to saying her vows outdoors at Cavender Castle’s Old World Gazebo.   Unfortunately, North Georgia has been in a state of emergency this week with snow, ice storms, power outages, downed trees, school closings, and worst of all… single digit all-time low temperatures on her wedding day.

It would have been easy for Samantha to be disappointed and play the role of a victim.  How could this happen to her after all the time she had been waiting for this day?  But did that happen?   NO!

Samantha had what was perhaps the best attitude of ANY bride we have married over the past eleven years!   She laughed, giggled and was clearly ready to marry the love of her life regardless of  factors outside her control.   We moved the ceremony indoors in front of the fireplace and had a happy, fun filled ceremony that none of us will ever forget.

If you are planning your wedding you can learn from Samantha.   A happy wedding day is largely up to YOUR ATTITUDE!   Decide that you are going to have fun and enjoy your day regardless of anything that doesn’t go as planned.  Having conducted hundreds of weddings together Cyndi and  I have seen how a contagious smiles and laughter from a happy bride or groom is to your family and your guests.

Way to go Samantha!  Congratulations to you and William!   You two are an inspiration that we all can learn from!
